The Era of Buddhism

Buddhism, religion and philosophy that developed from the teachings of the Buddha. (Sanskrit: “Awakened One”)
It spread like fire across Asia. It has played a central role in the spiritual, culture, and social life. At the beginning of the 20th century, it spread to the West.

He Became The Budha

The Buddha was born a prince of the Sakya clan and was named Siddhartha Gautam. At birth, a philosopher predicted that he would grow up to become a great holy king who would unite the world. Prince Siddhartha lived a luxurious life of comfort and ease in the palace.
However, in search of a great way of liberation, to save all sentient being from the cycle of birth and Death; Siddhartha left the palace.
He came to the forest at the foot of the Himalayas mountains, and there he practised asceticism. For six long years, Siddhartha took every ascetic practises until he finally realized that The Intermediate path is the answer. Siddhartha sat in cultivation beneath the bodhi tree. He confronted the devious assignment from Mara's evil hordes. At that instant, Siddhartha was in complete tranquillity and perfect emptiness; He was enlightened, and he became The Buddha.

Life should be valued equally, as nothing is honourable than life itself.

AFTER SIDDHARTHA GAUTAMA'S DEATH, THE COMMUNITY HE FOUNDED SLOWLY EVOLVED INTO A RELIGION-LIKE MOVEMENT & HIS TEACHINGS BECAME THE BASIS OF BUDDHISM.
